The Respect Standard for Housing Management

In demonstrating the Association's commitment to tackling anti social behaviour Orwell Housing have signed up to a voluntary standard known as ‘The Respect Standard for Housing Management‘

RESPECT: Give Respect, Get Respect


What does this mean?

  • It is a commitment to ensure our tenants are involved in decisions that are made which affect the area they live in. Involvement and effective communication helps to reassure and empower those living on our estates.
     
  • It is a commitment to look at prevention work rather than cure.
     
  • It is a commitment to encouraging tenants to report to the Association anti social behaviour as it occurs and to work with the right agencies to resolve the problem.
     
  • It is a commitment to take the most appropriate action as quickly as possible.
     
  • It is a commitment to prevent problems reoccurring.
The Association takes Anti Social Behaviour very seriously and there is a firm commitment within the Association to prevent and resolve unacceptable behaviour in improving the quality of life for our tenants.
