Safer Neighbourhoods

Safer Neighbourhoods Teams (SNTs) provide communities with a dedicated team of officers who are visible, accessible and known to local people. They work closely with partner agencies and the local community to tackle the crime and disorder concerns and issues identified within the neighbourhood.

There are teams across Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex - each one is tackling issues ranging from crime and anti-social behaviour to graffiti and noisy neighbours. But to be effective they need your help.

Get Involved

There are many ways you could help make your community an even safer and better place to live. You could....

  • Give some of your free time by becoming a police support volunteer
  • Have your say - help shape priorities by completing your team's surveys
  • Sign up for regular updates from your Safer Neighbourhood teams
  • Join a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Your team want to know what problems you think need to be tackled. They can then prioritise these issues, take appropriate action and keep you informed of progress.
