Resident Involvement

Focus Group Orwell is committed to encouraging resident involvement. We want our residents to have an active role in helping to create a better environment and providing better services for everyone. You can help by getting involved in activities and groups and giving us feedback about our services. Depending on the time you have available you can be involved as much, or as little as you like.

Why should I get Involved?

As a resident you are ideally placed to help us shape our services for you and your community. This is because you can tell us how things really are. Getting involved is a chance to utilise your skills in a way that can help you and your community. Involvement will give you the chance to meet new people, gain new skills, attend free training and give you valuable volunteer work experience for your CV.

The Resident Engagement Panel

The REP is a panel of volunteer Orwell tenants and leaseholders from different communities. Their role is to challenge and influence how Orwell runs as a business and ensure that resident’s views are taken into account.

The Panel carry out reviews on different areas of the business and have opportunities to put forward recommendations for service improvements.

A subgroup of the REP, the Board Liaison Group, feeds back progress on work and makes the panel’s recommendations to Orwell’s Board.

If you would like to find out more about the REP, or you are interested in joining, you can contact them by:
