Hi there and welcome to This Week at Orwell. This is your video newsletter sharing stories from around the Orwell community this last week.
The Department of Work and Pensions have released a new Campaign to highlight and promote Pension Credit and want to encourage anyone Pension Age who meets the eligibility criteria to apply.
This comes after the decision to change the eligibility criteria for the Winter Fuel Payment for 2024 and one of the changes is the tenant/applicant has to be in receipt of Pension Credit. Applications can be made online or via postal form and if you would like further information in regards to this, there is further information on the website GOV.UK or you are able to speak to a benefits advisor at Citizens Advice. More details over the next few pages.
The team at ‘Family First Ipswich’ are hosting a Family Support Information Event on Weds 30th October (11am – 1pm) at Burlington Road Baptist Church in Ipswich. The event has been created to enable families in Ipswich to find out about the range of services out there who can provide them with support in a whole range of areas. It is a free, drop in event and free drinks and cakes will be provided.
Information available on the day will be from:
and many more.
It’s a drop in event, so no need to book. For more info on ‘Family First Ipswich’
