Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement

I have pleasure in sharing our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.  This reflects that at Orwell we are committed to fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and equity – but what does this really mean to us as people?

Well, at Orwell we respect and celebrate everyone’s differences.  We aim to ensure that inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We know that the diversity within teams, and a feeling of belonging and being 100% comfortable to be your authentic self makes you much more likely to be happy as an Orwell colleague.  It provides diversity of thought bringing creative and innovative ideas and gives great results for our residents.  We work together to make the most of our differences and celebrate our unique contributions to the amazing work we do. We want to create an environment where you will feel comfortable to perform at your best.

Our aim is that as a workforce, we reflect the diverse communities with which we work as closely as possible so that we are relatable and relevant.  This also helps us better understand the challenges faced by our residents and means we can better support them with these challenges through lived experience, understanding and finding creative solutions through different perspectives.
