We offer several easy ways for you to pay your rent and other charges, so you can choose the option that works best for you.
We offer several convenient ways to pay your rent, care charges and other Orwell fees, designed to suit the different needs of our customers.
Direct Debit is the most secure and hassle‑free option. However, we also provide a range of alternative payment methods, all of which are listed below.
Pay Online
Make a Payment | PayPoint Make a Payment | MyOrwell Account
You can make payments online through the Orwell website or by logging into your MyOrwell account.
Please ensure you use your payment reference number.
To make future payments easier, you can create a PayPoint account and save your payment details. This means you won’t need to enter your reference number each time you pay.
If you need further assistance, please contact us on 0345 60 100 30.
If your payment didn’t go through, please check with your bank first to make sure the amount hasn’t been deducted before making another payment, or contact us.
Please note: Credit cards will not be accepted for rent payments unless this has been authorised by an Orwell Director. Please speak to the Housing Management team should you wish to discuss this further.
Pay by Phone
You can still pay by phone using your debit card. However, you will now be directed to a secure automated system.
To make a payment using the automated phone line, call 0345 60 100 30 and choose ‘make a payment’ when prompted.
Pay by Direct Debit
Direct Debit is the most convenient and secure way to make your payments. Over 1,200 customers already use this method to pay regularly because it comes straight out of your bank account. It is quicker and easier than paying by standing order.
A Direct Debit instructs your bank or building society to make regular payments from your account to Orwell, so you do not have to remember when your rent is due or change the amount to be paid. It is easy to set up and gives you peace of mind, knowing that your rent has been paid on time each month.
In May 2026, we moved our Direct Debit management to a new payment provider, PayPoint.
