Herivan Close and Gardens Estate Roadshow
Earlier this month, colleagues from across Team Orwell visited Herivan Close and Herivan Gardens in Lowestoft for our final community roadshow of the year.
The event gave customers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with colleagues from across the organisation, ask questions, share feedback, and discuss the issues that matter most to them and their community.
Hear from our colleagues: Reflections on the roadshow
“Holding the roadshow indoors worked really well. The more relaxed setting meant customers felt comfortable taking the time to chat, which led to some great conversations. It was also fantastic to see the strong relationships Kevin has built with customers and how well he knows the community.” – Jack Trigg, Orwell’s Estate Services Manager
“The roadshow at Herivan Gardens was a great success. Hosting the event indoors created a more welcoming and personal atmosphere, making it easier to engage with customers and have meaningful conversations. It was also wonderful to hear such positive feedback about Kevin and the excellent support he provides as part of the Estate Services team.” – Dan Allen, Orwell’s Mobile Gardening and Hard Landscaping Team Leader
“I’d love to come back to Herivan Close and Gardens in a year’s time and hear that a casual film and bring your own snacks afternoon helped bring customers together in the community room again. These roadshows have shown me what Team Orwell is all about; listening to customers, having fun and making a difference where it matters.” – Claire Townley, Orwell’s Customer Engagement Officer
Feedback from customers:
Listening to customer feedback helps us shape and improve our services. During the roadshow, customers were invited to share their thoughts and experiences by answering three key questions:
What makes Herivan Gardens & Herivan Close special?
“From the moment you arrive, you can feel the strong sense of community on the estate.”
“Everyone is so friendly and supportive, making it a great place to live.”
“It’s a relaxing place to call home, with lovely neighbours and a team at Orwell that is always there to help.”
What would you like to see more of?
“I’d love to see more community get-togethers and opportunities for residents to connect with one another.”
“Activities such as tenant meetings, walk-and-talks, coffee mornings, and games sessions would be a great way to bring people together.”
What would make the biggest difference?
“It would be great to see the pergola made more inviting, helping to create a space where residents can come together and socialise.”
“Offering pendant alarms connected to the system would help residents feel safer and provide an easy way to access support when required.”
By listening to what customers would like to see more of, we can explore opportunities to make positive changes.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by to chat with us and share their experiences. Hearing directly from our customers helps us better understand what’s working well and where we can make improvements.
By listening to feedback and working together with customers, we can continue to strengthen communities and provide services that meet the needs of customers.
We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and connecting with more customers across our neighbourhoods in the future.
