Orwell Housing is pleased to confirm the successful transfer of ownership of 117 homes in Great Yarmouth from Clarion Housing Group. The transaction was completed on 29th September 2025.
Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest housing association formed in 2016 through the merger of two major organisations, has chosen Orwell as the new landlord for these properties. Clarion carefully considered the future of these homes and selected Orwell for its strong reputation, long-term commitment to the region and consistent delivery of high-quality services to residents. Residents can be assured that services will continue without disruption and Orwell has been working closely with Clarion to ensure a smooth handover.

Orwell currently owns or manages over 4,300 homes, providing safe and secure accommodation for more than 8,200 people across 12 local authority areas. Earlier this year, residents were informed that Orwell was the preferred landlord, and a six-week consultation was held at the end of July to support a smooth transition.
