Lateral Flow Testing

To further ensure the safety of our customers and employees, we have taken the decision to introduce lateral flow testing for Covid-19 for our dispersed workforce.

We are now registered as a test centre, and are facilitating twice weekly lateral flow testing for our team of employees who cannot work from home, and who regularly come into contact with our customers.  This includes roles such as cleaners, gardeners, painters and the Orwell Repair Service team.

By electing to test those individuals who regularly come into contact with our customers in their homes, we aim to give peace of mind and confidence to those who want to book repairs, by providing this extra layer of protection.

These measures are over and above the ongoing  precautions that will continue to be implemented, such as regular hand sanitising and mask wearing and keeping spaces ventilated. This also enables us to be aware as soon as possible if someone tests positive, and ensure that they can then isolate at home.

This development means that our employees can now travel safely together in work vehicles and can resume working more closely in teams on jobs that require more than one person, whilst remaining in line with Government guidelines.  As the Government’s roadmap progresses, we will keep staff testing under review and may widen out to include other areas of the workforce going forwards.

We hope that testing our teams in this way, will help bring back a much needed sense of normality to both our customers and those working to support them.
